OM Foundation Award

In November my friend and GMR Marketing colleague, Steve Dupee, nominated me (us, really) for the OM Foundation Award to be given at the National Sports Forum. I submitted an essay summarizing my background and our fundraising efforts. The OM Foundation Award Selection Committee and the National Sports Forum Steering Committee reviewed entrants and selected a winner. This year they chose us!

The National Sports Forum is an annual three-day sales and marketing conference that brings together hundreds of executives to network, share best practices and explore issues and opportunities that affect the sports industry. The OM Foundation is a non-profit formed to build and support early learning centers for children with all types of disabilities in the U.S. and Africa.
The OM Foundation Award recognizes and celebrates an individual in the sports and entertainment industry who goes above and beyond to better their community.

This year’s OM Foundation Award was presented in February at the National Sports Forum in Portland. I was not able to be there to accept the award in person, but thanks to some terrific work by some of the production people at GMR we were able to submit a brief video that was played during the award presentation. Fortunately next year’s National Sports Forum is in Minneapolis, so I’ll be able to present the award to next year’s winner.

Congratulations to all of us and thanks for your continued support!!
